Organizational Change Management (OCM)

Automus got tired of watching OCM companies bring in folks who did not know Oracle Cloud, the Industry involved, or how to help fix the issues they were seeing! So, we decided to reinvent the OCM strategy and embrace it!

What Automus is doing differently

Our OCM staff understands Oracle ERP. They know the Automus Methodology we use to implement. They bring a wealth of industry knowledge. They help organize training. They even implement and customize online training materials in Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) as Oracle intended! They also have a direct line to the Project Managers and Executive Sponsors to make sure that key issues and findings are escalated swiftly for resolution.

Why Change Management and ERP?

Explaining the change, why it’s happening, and getting ahead of the impacts will be critical to the success of your transformation. Without consistent communication and feedback from stakeholder groups and unique training plans to address the reality of each office and plant involved, it’s easy for a technically perfect system to be considered a failure in the minds of your employees. The lack of a change management plan may lead to poor staff training. Unorganized or ineffective communication may lead to confusion, frustration, staff attrition, low adoption, and low morale. Automus addresses the human factors behind the change by following a list of simple steps and deliverables. Our OCM Leads become the ambassadors for your end users and will help to reduce risk by creating consistent feedback loops, addressing concerns, and adjusting plans to meet the unique needs of adult learners.

A transformation cannot happen in a vacuum. Communications must inform or address your people's specific concerns. How do you know what is most concerning? How do you know what they know or don’t know? Where are the training gaps? How do you surface real risks that people “closest to the work” see as potential threats to the project?

In 1:1 interviews or small groups, we gather opinions and organize the data into cohesive and helpful themes. This data guides adjustments to strategy and clearer communication and mitigates previously unknown risks and gaps.

It highlights interview results with various question-based pie charts about communication, capacity, and trust. Bar graphs show capacity, capability, technology, knowledge/skills, and culture metrics. An oval text box notes that in-person interviews help identify risks and gaps. A numbered list states project-related beliefs and confidences for May 2024.

End user training is a key aspect of the project, however the coordination of the training is something that is often overlooked.  Understanding team roles, shifts, and locations to help standardize the training and keep the business running can be challenging.  Automus OCM provides a structured approach to keep the end user training efficient and effective for all involv

Figure 4. Automus leverages Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) to drive training for our clients as it aligns with Oracle's first strategy and provides an integrated and comprehensive training platform that includes both pre-built and custom content. This minimizes the work needed to build standard content but allows for customizable flows as required.
